Postpartum Health and Wellness
Fitness, Wellness, and Prevention During the Motherhood Transition.
Join us to help cultivate awareness on health and wellness during pregnancy and the postpartum period. Many women experience symptoms of back pain, pelvic pain, urinary leakage, painful intercourse, as well as decreased abdominal and pelvic support during and after pregnancy. Symptoms go dismissed or ignored as a mother prepares for or is currently caring for her family. Join Lauren Goforth & Kristen DiGioia, Doctors of Physical Therapy, for a review of pelvic floor physiology, prevention strategies for pregnancy related symptoms, proper postpartum healing, as well as strategies to improve movement and body function.

Her training is through the American Physical Therapy Association, Women’s Health Section and she is a musculoskeletal specialist trained in pelvic floor muscle assessment and treatment of women’s/pelvic health.
